Mindset Matters in Our Work With Flowers. Even with the best techniques, we can sabotage our work and creativity. I'm sharing the truly game-changing process I use to get into the best headspace for incredible design (and an enjoyable experience!).
PRINCIPLES & ELEMENTS FOR BOUQUET DESIGN
To truly master anything in design, we have to get down to the fundamentals. In this section of the course, we explore the definitions of the Elements and Principles of Design. From form and space to fragrance and texture, get a critical understanding of how ingredients work together and how to create balanced designs so you can quickly identify and fix design challenges.
Formulas change. Classic Design Applications give you the ability to mix and match no matter what the style dictates. In Design Applications, I’ll walk you through the definitions of key foundational design techniques that I consistently use in creating beautiful bouquets. From “bunching” to “veiling”, you’ll get a clear picture of what these critical applications mean and how they can be so effective. Consider these the bouquet building blocks that are loose, airy, full of movement, and efficient.
COLOR THEORY BASICS FOR BOUQUET DESIGN
Want to know how to build a compelling color story? In Color Theory, I walk you through the essentials so you can confidently choose tints, tones, shades and more. We’ll cover how the color wheel works and why it’s a “must” in my toolkit for every bouquet design I create. You’ll get introduced to the “principle of proportion” so you can consistently create a balanced color palette. Plus, you’ll get fresh design inspiration by focusing on utilizing one hero flower.
FOUNDATIONAL BOUQUET TECHNIQUES (SPIRAL LESSON)
Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced….you need this technique. Get ready to build better bouquets™. I’ll show you how to avoid common pitfalls like traffic jams, broken stems, hand fatigue, overstuffing, overgreening, and overheating flowers. You’ll learn how to let the mechanics and geometry do the work for you, binding strategy, and how to make multiple bouquet shapes with the same technique.
ADVANCED HAND-TIED BRIDAL BOUQUET DESIGN
Feeling stuck with your design? Advanced Hand-Tied Bouquet Design helps you put the foundational techniques into action. You’ll learn how to bring the color story to life and create pockets of color without polka dotting. I’ll show you how to mix and match mass, line, and form, which flowers work together, and how to create movement.
ADVANCED HAND-TIED CASCADE BOUQUET
Choose the right ingredients for a hand-tied cascade bouquet so you can create repeatable and dependably gorgeous results. I share a simple rubber band method for building a beautiful hand-tied spiral technique, no additional mechanics needed! You’ll learn how to prepare and edit your ingredients and place stems in order to create successful cascades, no matter the shape.
RIBBONING & WIRING
Learn how to complement your bouquets with secure, tasteful ribbon treatments. We’ll explore multiple ribbon treatments for different effects. I cover how to securely and efficiently wire orchids and ranunculus blooms for bouquet work. You’ll also learn how to hydrate wired blooms for bouquets.

HERE’S HOW BOUQUET BOOTCAMP® ONLINE IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER COURSES:
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FUNDAMENTALS!
Solid fundamentals are often looked over in many floral design courses. There is a lot of narrating but often the theory and the “why” behind the design decisions is missing.
This can lead to a lot of beautiful design demonstrations and inspiration but without theory, there isn’t much to glean for application. This often leads to frustration and lack of results for designers craving training and results.
Bouquet Bootcamp® doesn’t skimp...with 4 design theory topics including the Principles and Elements, Design Applications, and Color Theory Basics, you will have the vocabulary and design language to help you understand the “why” AND “how” to create great floral designs!
FLORAL DESIGNERS GET REAL RESULTS.
Course fatigue is REAL...I’ve been there and spent far too much money on courses that looked really pretty and inspiring but didn’t deliver real results.
The hundreds of testimonials have spoken, Bouquet Bootcamp® works!
I’ve traveled all over the country for years teaching Bouquet Bootcamp™ to designers with all levels of experience and have gathered extensive student feedback to know what designers need help with.
From the often-overlooked ‘basics’ to more advanced techniques, you are in good hands with qualified, professional and relevant floral education to help you build your skills and become a more efficient and effective designer.
CONVENIENCE & CLARITY
This is an accessible investment in your business—and yourself.
With detailed explanations and in depth breakdown of my approach to light and airy bouquets, no matter where you are at in your flower journey, you will learn clarifying techniques to save you time and money.
Because the course is recorded, you can go at your own pace and refer back to the content as much as you need! Cut the confusing bouquet hacks and learn how to elevate your bouquet skills, and invest in yourself and your business.
"MY TEAM AND MY CLIENTS HAVE SEEN A NOTICEABLE SHIFT AND IT HAS TRANSLATED INTO BOOKING MORE OF THE WORK I WANT TO BE DOING AND THE LEVEL OF SATISFACTION I AM GETTING OUT OF MY JOB."
Before Bouquet Bootcamp®, I would often remake a bouquet several times before finally giving in to a "good enough" finished product after exhaustion and annoyance. I just couldn't make my bouquets have that ethereal quality I was aiming for. I struggled with transitioning color in my designs which led to adding more flowers in than I had budgeted for to make it work.
I was frustrated and was disappointed with my floral design work. I was binging design courses one after the other, hoping to find the answers but often left confused and unsure of how to make all the puzzle pieces fit.
Everything changed when I learned Amy’s process. Amy's approach to building a beautiful bouquet solves the design issues before you ever get flowers in your hand. I'm able to successfully create the bouquet I imagined in my head with ease and enjoyment. My bouquets are consistently turning out better than the inspiration pictures!
Amy's teaching style and techniques translated all the different languages and jargon I had been hearing and getting confused by into a repeatable process. I started seeing results immediately, not only in my work, but more importantly how I FELT about my work. I stopped comparing and started creating!
—Abby Chick, Blakemore’s Flowers
HI, I'M AMY!
I teach florists how to design with confidence, intention, and strategy so they can value themselves, attract the work they want, and achieve their design goals.
But, let me give you some context…
TWO DECADES AGO, FLOWERS SAVED MY LIFE.
I was 19 years old and after making a string of bad life decisions, I had hit rock bottom.
I always dreamed of being a florist but had no idea where to start. I found a floral design class at a community college and nervously showed up. Under the fluorescent lights, with a bundle of pink mini carnations and a few stems of leather fern in hand, I fell in love with floral design.
I HAD PURPOSE & PASSION AGAIN.
After graduating from the accredited two year Floral Design and Shop Management program at Goldenwest College in 2003, I worked as a professional designer in retail shops and high-end special event production before opening my own business floral studio, Amy Nicole Floral, in 2012.
After starting my wedding business, I knew I wanted to create more artful bouquets but struggled to get the loose and airy style that I craved making.
I bought loads of courses and attended workshops to find answers but even as a professional designer, I ended up more confused, frustrated and discouraged that maybe I just wasn’t as good as my peers and that it might be time to hang up my flower apron.
I spent countless hours breaking stems, overstuffing bouquets, and wasting loads of time and money while still ending up with tight, heavy bouquets.
SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE.
After lots of mistakes and self doubt, I finally dug back into my classical training and applied time-tested “old school” techniques with a new school approach and “BAM”...results! I had cracked the code on loose and airy bouquets and was able to get repeatable results!
Years later, I realized florists all over were struggling with the same challenges I had and I knew I could help. With my classical training and “in the trenches” experience, I started teaching designers the same techniques I used.
My unique ability to articulate design problems and solutions helps designers improve their design skills no matter their skill level.
I’ve traveled all over the country teaching Bouquet Bootcamp® and seen incredible results so I am thrilled to bring this wonderful course to you in an online format!

"LEARNING THE SPIRAL AND NOT FUSSING OVER EACH FLOWER PLACEMENT WAS MY 'AH-HA' MOMENT!"
I definitely felt like my efficiency and speed was lacking - mostly because I didn't have a go-to method for each bouquet. There was always the question of which method or mechanic to use (should I use a greenery base, chicken wire/egg, hydrangea base, etc.), which I don't have to worry about anymore.
Learning the spiral and not fussing over each flower placement was my ah ha moment! I feel like I'll be able to create what my brides want, without spending FOREVER on each bouquet.
I loved learning design principles that I can incorporate into my work as well as a professional method for bouquet creation.
